Peter Rabbit Pulls in Huge Crowds at the Merrion Centre

Last week, the Merrion Centre enjoyed one if its most successful events to date when Peter Rabbit visited the shopping mall to read stories to thousands of children.

The centre was filled with more than 30,000 parents and children throughout the course of the day who came to the storytelling sessions and to meet the main star of the books and film.

The Peter Rabbit storytelling event was just one of the many activities the centre implemented for the Easter holidays. The activities attracted huge attention, with thousands of people responding to the invites across social media and even more coming along to take part in the free sessions.

James Broughton, Head of Marketing & PR for Town Centre Securities (TCS), owner of the Merrion Centre, said: “This was one of the best events we’ve ever held for Easter, evidenced by the huge numbers of people that came to it. We were delighted to see so many children of different ages enjoying the storytelling with their parents and grandparents. The centre was filled with lots of happy faces!

“We are always looking for activities that are as accessible to as many people as possible, and we know that the Easter holidays are a key time when parents are looking to keep the little ones entertained. We’re already thinking about the next big event at the Merrion Centre and how we can make it bigger and better than ever.”

A huge thank you to the hundreds of people that came to see Peter Rabbit and join in the fun! The photos are now up on Tthe Merrion Centre Facebook page HERE
