Stay Safe this Festive Season

Do you know when you’re safe to drive after a night of festive drinks?

As the festive season gets into full swing, it’s important to stay safe—whether you’re out celebrating with friends or getting home after a night of festive drinks. The Travel Behaviour Change team at Leeds City Council is here to help you understand the risks of drink and drug driving and make sure you know if you’re safe to drive the morning after.

Join them at the Merrion Centre on Wednesday 10th December, from 10am to 3pm, for an informative and interactive event!

What to expect

o Check how many units you actually drink on a night out – Are you sure how much alcohol you’ve had?

o Test your balance with the beer goggle challenge – Experience first hand the effects of alcohol on your coordination and reaction times.

o Plan a safer way home – Get tips and guidance about arranging alternative transport so you don’t put yourself or others at risk.

o Make your pledge – Sign the Vision Zero pledge to commit to not drink or drug drive this Christmas.

It’s never worth the risk. Come along and learn how to make informed decisions this festive season.

Date: Wednesday 10th December
Time: 10am – 3pm
Location: Inside the Merrion Centre, Leeds (outside Morrisons)
