European bakery chain opens first UK shop at the Merrion Centre in Leeds

Pack Snack, a Hungarian bakery chain that is one of the largest franchises in the world, with thousands of outlets in Europe and stores recently opened in the United States and Canada, will open its first UK shop in the Merrion Centre in Leeds city centre on Friday 16 August 2013.
The shop offers 32 different types of pastries starting from 30p including cinnamon, raspberry, chocolate and banana flavours that are popular with children. All products have reduced fat and sugar and are specially designed to be eaten on the go without getting greasy fingers. The shop will also sell soft drinks, tea and coffee.
Commenting on the Pack Snack brand, Attila Balazs, who owns the Pack Snack Master License in the UK said: “The Pack Snack brand is well known all over Europe but it’s completely new to the UK market. We are very different to other bakery retailers because we offer our customer a huge selection of pastry products with currently 32 different varieties available each day. All our food is freshly made, lower in salt and sugar and not greasy to touch, make them perfect to take-way. Pack Snack is becoming one of the biggest names in the bakery sector and we’re very excited to have our first UK store in the Merrion Centre.”
Susan Mendoza, centre manager at the Merrion Centre said: “We’re really proud to have been selected as the location for Pack Snack’s first UK store. This is a unique bakery offer which will complement our other food retailers in the centre and give our customers an even bigger choice of outlet s to pick up a snack or buy their lunch from.
