Merrion Centre gets ready for the Bruce Springsteen opening at Leeds First Direct Arena

To celebrate the opening of the First Direct Arena in Leeds, the Merrion Centre, which is located next door, is offering some free fun on Wednesday 24 July for Bruce Springsteen fans.
A special photo booth will be in the mall from 3pm – 7pm and gig-goers and shoppers are invited to choose from a selection of props including inflatable guitars and mullet wigs and pose for a free photo which they can take away.
To add to the fun, Shake’a’holic, the Merrion Centres’ popular smoothie and juice bar will be offering ‘Buy One, Get One Free’ on milkshakes for people saying ‘Bruce sent me’ when they order.
Susan Mendoza, centre manager at the Merrion Centre said: “We’re very excited about the opening of the new arena. It’s fantastic to have a major concert venue in the centre of Leeds, attracting some of the biggest names in the music industry including The Boss, Bruce Springsteen. As the nearest neighbour we wanted to join in the celebrations and provide some pre-gig fun for fans.”
