Spooky goings on at the Merrion Centre

Visitors to the Merrion Centre are being warned to be extra vigilant after a ghostly figure was spotted haunting the shopping centre’s boulevards and escalators.

In a video that has been gathering interest on social media, footage appears to reveal two of the shopping centre’s security guards being trailed by an unknown apparition. The centre has shared the video in the hope that shoppers will keep an eye out for any other spooky appearances this Halloween.
Despite the appearance of the strange figure, the Merrion Centre is celebrating the annual fright fest and is ensuring visitors can get into the Halloween spirit by launching a haunting competition.
From this Thursday until Saturday (October 27 to 29) a haunted cab will be parked in the middle of the centre. Those that dare enter the cab will have their picture taken, with the picture judged the spookiest winning a Halloween hamper.
Helen Green, Associate Director at Town Centre Securities said: “There are definitely a few strange goings on happening at the Merrion Centre which the footage we’ve captured testifies to.
“As ever, we’re ensuring that alongside this haunting activity we’re offering fun activities as we help shoppers get into the Halloween spirit.
“We hope shoppers and visitors will join us as we approach October 31 and participate in the spooky-themed fun across the centre.”
