The beloved wife of our founder, Mr Arnold Ziff OBE and mother of current TCS Chairman and Chief Executive, Edward Ziff OBE, non-Executive Director, Michael Ziff and their sister Ann Manning, ‘Mrs Arnold’ (as she was affectionately known) was pivotal in the creation of TCS alongside her husband.

Dr Ziff, who was awarded an MBE in the 2011 New Year’s Honours for her services to the community of Leeds for nearly 60 years, officially opened the Merrion Centre on her 35th birthday on 26th May 1964.

She continued to be a fundamental part of the business, returning in 2019 for the Centre’s 55th anniversary where she celebrated alongside her grandchildren who still play active roles in the management of the business including Ben Ziff, Managing Director of CitiPark and TCS Energy and Charlotte-Daisy Leeming, TCS’ Head of ESG.

On behalf of the Ziff family and Merrion Centre, Edward Ziff said:

“Her contribution and devotion to the city and community of Leeds has been inspiring and is a quality that we her children, grandchildren and I am sure her great-grandchildren, will endeavour to continue in her honour.”
