Fans queued through the Merrion Centre last night to meet the Leeds United manager and players at the official opening of the centre’s newest addition which is the only official club shop in the city centre.
The opening event saw manager Garry Monk and players Marcus Antonsson, Gaetano Berardi, Tyler Denton and Marco Silvestri cut the ribbon to declare the store open and sign shirts and autographs for fans alongside first team coach James Beattie.
Edward Ziff, Chairman & Chief Executive, Town Centre Securities said: “We were thrilled to see so many people turn out to welcome Leeds United to the Merrion Centre. Already in its first week the store has proved to be a huge success for the centre with customers.
“We’re continuing with our plans to bring exciting new shops and restaurants to the centre, and increase our standing as a key leisure destination in the region. Being chosen by Leeds United to be the home for their only city centre store is another addition that really helps set the Merrion Centre apart.”
