The Merrion Centre Launches Poppy Appeal
From Friday 27th October, the Merrion Centre launched what it is hopes will be another successful poppy appeal in aid of the British Legion.
After raising more than £12,000 in 2016, staff from Town Centre Securities, owners of the Merrion Centre will be swopping their normal day jobs to sell poppies throughout the centre in the hope of raising even more in 2017.
As well as the traditional poppies, the Merrion Centre will also have on sale jewelled keep-sake poppies as well as umbrellas, jewellery, sweets, branded shopping bags, scarves and Christmas cards. Every penny from the sale of the items will go directly to supporting the British Legion.
The Merrion Centre Poppy Appeal will run from Friday 27th October to Saturday 11th November with suggested donations starting from just £0.50p.
