It’s the season of love, and the Merrion Centre is teaming up with its tenants to ensure there’s something for everyone, no matter if they’re single or coupled up!
The main mall will be decked out with a beautiful balloon heart arch on the 10th of February to welcome those weekend shoppers preparing for the big day. As a thank you to its visitors, the Merrion Centre is offering free gifts to its shoppers on the day, and is also offering the chance to win a romantic dinner at Marco’s New York Italian restaurant and bar and a stay at Ibis Styles Hotel through its social media channels in the weeks running up to February 14th.
The Merrion Centre has a great selection of shops, beauty services and restaurants to ensure shoppers celebrate on the day in style. Visitors can have a personal pre-date pampering session or celebrate by partying the night away with friends at some of the centre’s best venues. The romantically-minded can also find a beautiful bouquet for their other half and can plan an evening dinner at one of Arena Quarter’s popular restaurants.

With Love From Merrion: Valentine’s Day Competition
The Merrion Centre is hosting an exclusive online competition to win a three-course meal at celebrity chef Marco Pierre White’s New York Italian restaurant and bar, plus a stay at the Ibis Styles hotel. To enter the With Love From Merrion competition, shoppers simply need to respond to one of the centre’s posts on Twitter or Facebook with the hashtag #welovemerrion and tag their beloved for a chance to win. Winners will be announced on Valentine’s Day.
We Love Our Customers: FREE Gifts for Shoppers
The Merrion Centre will be giving out cupcakes and balloons to customers spending £10 or more at any of its stores on Saturday 10th of February. Town Centre Securities, parent company of the Merrion Centre, was recently shortlisted for the Child Friendly Leeds’ Overall Contribution to Making Leeds a Child Friendly City Award, and as proud partners of the scheme, is ensuring its Valentine’s giveaway includes both parents and children. Shoppers can submit their receipt by the balloon-heart arch in the main mall to receive the their FREE Valentine’s present.
Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest times of years for the Merrion Centre’s resident florist Daydreamers. Offering flowers for all budgets, Daydreamers is providing a huge selection of bouquets including mixed bunches with single red roses starting at £15. In addition to a carefully crafted bouquet, Daydreamers is offering a free heart gift in all gift bags, and free delivery on boxes of 12 red roses.
The Merrion Centre boasts a number of outlets for busy shoppers to get pampered ahead of the big day, no matter what their budget. To fit into visitors’ busy lives, the centre provides beauty on-the-go for both men and women, through Glamour Forever, Inches, and JR’s Barbers amongst others. For all those wanting to enjoy a night out for Valentine’s, Pryzm nightclub is hosting a special event for the occasion.
With 8 different rooms, Pryzm hosts Leeds’ biggest midweek party and is a student favourite. Its Antics Valentines Special will be hosted by I’m A Celebrity’s 2017 winner, Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo.
